IT researcher. The connection with server was reset. This problem in only some PC. But in all browser download failed at the end. I have already tried resetting IE setting, disabling antivirus,using ie without add on etc.

But didn't solve. In so many articles i found that this problem was in IE. But for me it happens in all browser. So i how to solve it? This thread is locked. This keeps happening for quite a while now, but I didn't have much time to tackle it as I'm currently in the exams mode.

I'm normally quite self-sufficient and end up solving all my computer trouble all by myself, I ain't no noob. But this time I give up: I've looked over so many threads over different forums and majority ended without a sufficient reply. Then, I was to download some software for my phone - but the download won't complete. If I tried it in Safari, I bet it also wouldn't work yes, I have that many browsers installed, just in case. It's just not browser-related. Disk space? Mate, my computer is 3 TB of memory, no chance. A virus? My anti-virus never failed me, it does a great job at blocking nasties, and I performed TWO full scans, and yet it found nothing suspicious.

Is it blocking? Don't think so either, it would say that something was stopped. Does anyone have any advice? What on Earth is going on?? Sorry for the delay in replying, was a bit busy in-between. This means there is an application interfering in Normal Mode. Try a Clean Boot troubleshooting procedure to hopefully isolate the offending application. How to Perform a Clean Boot. Does it mean it's the culprit? You were right, there was something, and I got the issue solved now!

Thanks a lot!!! I'm not even joking, and it had the blank paper icon and no other info. I have two computers running Windows 10 version , both connected to the internet via the same router. On the laptop, downloads keep failing, but I do not have this problem on the desktop computer.

I have had this problem on the laptop for a couple of days now. Before that, networking seemed to be working fine. I cannot think of anything I could have done that would have changed that. The problem on the laptop occurs no matter whether I connect via wifi or via a USB 3 ethernet adapter. The problem occurs not only with downloads through my web browser Chrome but also in other applications, namely Ableton Live Suite and iZotope Product Portal.

I have been trying to do a number of very large downloads through these applications and it has been a very frustrating experience. I have tried rebooting the laptop when the failed downloads become very frequent. This resolves the problem for a short time, but after a while, the downloads start failing again.
